VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR TAX SEASON 2017

Are you interested in helping your community?  Are you looking for a very satisfying volunteer opportunity?  Every year, the Hawaii VITA and Financial Empowerment Coalition recruits and trains volunteers who provide free tax help to thousands of Hawaii’s workers during the tax season.  Since it began in 2006, this program has helped over 32,674 Hawaii taxpayers save more than $5.8 Million in tax preparation fees and claim over $50.1 Million in refunds, including $24.1 Million of valuable federal tax credits.  We are once again recruiting volunteers to prepare tax returns for low to moderate income workers across the state and we invite you to join our program. You’ll find that you really can make a difference in your community.  No experience is necessary. Training and materials are free.   Do good. Feel good. Be a volunteer.
